Data Hosting and Regions.

Last updated 14 Jun 20261 min read

Liberty91 lets you control where your data lives. On your first login you are prompted to choose where your data is hosted and processed, and you can set a separate region for each of your Organizations. This page explains both choices so you can meet your data-residency requirements from day one.

Choose your account region on first login

When you log in for the first time, Liberty91 asks where you want your data hosted and processed. Make this choice deliberately, because it sets the default for your account.

Set a region per Organization

You can also decide, for each Organization, where its data should be hosted and processed. This is useful when you protect entities in different geographies and need each one's data to stay in a specific region. You set the region while you populate the Organization. See Set up your Organizations.

Analysis follows your region

Where analysis is specific to you, it is processed where your data lives. The Relevance to your organization assessment on each Threat Entity is written from your organizations' own context, so it runs in the region assigned to your account rather than in a shared default.

Analysis that is not specific to you, such as the general description of a threat actor, is global and shared across the platform, so it carries no organization context and is not region-tagged.

Frequently asked questions

Can different Organizations use different hosting regions?

Yes. You set an account-level region on first login, and you can choose a separate hosting and processing region for each Organization.
