Assets and Hosts.
An Asset is a technology that your Organization hosts. Your Assets define your attack surface and your crown jewels, the things you are protecting, as well as your defense layer, the things you protect them with. Defining your Assets is what lets Liberty91 identify and surface the threats that actually apply to you in real time.
How to add Assets
You have three ways to populate your Asset inventory:
- Manually. In the Assets menu, click Add, then enter the vendor, product, version, and where the Asset is hosted, and click Save.
- From a Document. Upload a Document and Liberty91 detects and extracts the Assets for you, which is easier than adding them one at a time.
- From an ASM integration. Connect an Attack Surface Management provider like HexioSec or FullHunt to keep your Asset list updated dynamically.
The Asset Threat Profile
Once you create an Asset, Liberty91 finds all the relevant reporting for it and writes a description, then keeps that knowledge current, the same way it does for Threat Actors, malware, and vulnerabilities in your Threat Library. Each of these descriptions is an Asset Threat Profile in its own right, giving you the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits relevant to that technology.
